COURSE OF STUDY
COSMETOLOGY:     1250 hours

• Theory includes a classroom instruction in all phases of Cosmetology
• Facials; Arching includes the history, purposes, methods of massage, facial packs, revolutionary new microdemabrasion treatment ( crystal peel ), and the benefits derived
• Hair styling; Fingerwaving; Pincurls and rollers sets; Blow dry and thermal curl to dress the hair in the desired hair style
• Hair shaping; Cutting / thinning includes the process of cutting the hair with a razor, scissors and thinning shears
• Hair coloring; Tinting and Bleaching includes the changing of hair color to the desired shade
• Manicuring includes the beautification of the hands and nails and like services to the feet and toe nails
• Advance Nail Techniques includes the application of nail tips, sculptured nails, gel nails, and nail wrapping
• Nail Art and Nail Design includes the application of nail stripping, feathers, nail art from nails, European rhinestones and fancy rhinestones; Also, Air Brush Designs
• Scalp Treatments for the care of the hair and scalp
• Permanent Waving includes the process of changing straight to curly hair by means of chemical action
• Chemical Hair Relaxing includes the process of straightening overly curly hair
• Thermal Straightening includes temporary method of relaxing overly curly hair
• Shampoo and Rinses includes the proper cleansing of the scalp and application of rinses
• Sterilization and Sanitation includes the process of sanitizing implements and equipment
• Cosmetology Laws includes the State Board of Cosmetology Laws.

GOAL

At the completion of the course, the student will be able to successfully perform all skills related to hair, skincare / make-up, and nails. In addition, they will develop the ability to respond to fellow students and customers in a professional manner. The skills and knowledge of the program will provide the students with the capability to seek employment and pass the State Board Examination requirement.


DRESS CODE

Students are required to wear our school smock, which can be purchased through the school.
